Our Lady of Lourdes - The Virgin Mary appeared in Lourdes, France in. 1858 to Saint Bernadette. The spring that emerged there after the apparition is said to have miraculous healing powers. Sick pilgrims travel to bathe and drink the water, and over 7,000 miraculous healings have been reported there. The Lourdes shrine and its healing waters have major significance for Catholics.
