▪︎ Handcasted in Solid Bronze Holy Face of Jesus 7/8" Center, Jesus Carrying the Cross medal, two sided Large Garden of Gethsemane/Mary at the Cross 1 5/8" medal, and Most Holy Blood of Christ medal. 

The agony of Our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane is commemorated in this bronze chaplet, its chain and crosses antiqued as if imprinted by the very hands that accepted the bitter chalice. The beads are of rich red crazy lace agate marked with sanguine veins, evoking the blood Jesus sweat before His coming Passion. The red spots symbolize each sacred drop leading to the cross.

 This blood foretells the blows that battered the beloved face of our Savior – His sacred visage replicated here as an icon of sorrows. From the anguished garden He was led to His cross, the holy rood that effected mankind’s redemption. Through His five holy wounds, opened as five precious founts of salvation, Christ’s most precious blood was poured out unto death, paradoxically giving us eternal life.

 A single drop of this most holy blood of Jesus is preserved as a mysterious relic in the Cathedral of Bruges. From the foot of Calvary it journeyed, granting miracles and drawing pilgrims who seek its crimson benediction. Its hue moves hearts to contemplate the blood-forged sacraments – Baptism’s cleansing water mingled with sanctifying Chrism’s holy oil, the wine of the Eucharist mingled with the blood of our salvation. All are incarnate here: the garden agony, the battered face, the relic tear, and the rock which splits under syrupy rills of red, gushing forth the divine blood that even now redeems the world.
